Welcome to Le Serre, our Bed and Breakfast accommodation in Le Gard, Languedoc-Rousillon. We hope you have a pleasant stay and have prepared the following notes for your information. If you need anything, or have a question, please ask and we will do our best to help.

Bed Linen, Towels etc
For short stays up to and including 3 nights we would not expect to change the bed linen or towels unless you asked us to do so. If your stay is for longer than 3 nights we would generally change the linen and towels after 3 nights and at the same frequency thereafter, at no additional cost. If you do not wish to have the linen/towels changed , or if something happens and you require one or both to be changed for some reason, please tell us.
Charges
The cost of the room is 70 euros per night. Breakfast is included. Dinner is available, if required, at a standard charge of 20 euros per person, and includes a starter, main course, cheese course, dessert and coffee. If you have ordered an evening meal and you have an aversion to a particular food, please tell us promptly. If you require lunch. This can be available also at a cost of 10 euros per person. We prefer that you pay in cash (euros). However cheques drawn on a French or English bank account are also acceptable if cash is not available. You will be asked to settle your account before departure.
DVD Player
The TV in the room does not play French television. It will play DVD’s, and we have placed a small selection in the room for you. If you do not know how to play a DVD, or you are having difficulties, please ask, and we will try to help. If you would like to watch a film, but what you see isn’t there, we have a large selection of DVD’s in our collection. Please ask, and we will see if we have the kind of film you would like to see.
Games, Pool etc
We have boules, table tennis and darts. If you require the use of any equipment, please ask. The pool is available for your use until 9 pm.
Meals
Unless the weather is bad, we will always try to serve meals, including breakfast, on the terrace. Breakfast consists of seasonal fruit, cereal, ham, cheese, bread, jam, croissant, fruit juice, tea/coffee etc. Dinner is generally a set menu, but we will always aim to serve food that is to your liking.
Pamphlets, Guides etc
These are available in the room. Please take whatever you need.
Room cleaning
Your room will have been prepared for you on arrival and if anything is amiss, please tell us. We would not expect to clean your room during your stay unless, for some reason, it became necessary. However if you are staying for more than 3 nights, we will generally have a tidy up when we change the bed linen and towels, and at no additional charge to you.
The Air Conditioning Unit
We have set the unit to deliver 20 degrees centigrade in Summer and 22 degrees in Winter. For normal operation simply press the power button on the remote control which you will find on the wall near the large shelf. Please remember to close all windows and doors when the unit is in operation. We have placed an Instruction Manual in your room for the air-conditioning unit so that you can programme it to your satisfaction. You can always ask us to help.
The Bathroom
Please be extra careful. The floor of the shower and bathroom may become slippery when wet.
The Door
The door in front of the shutters can be locked. To do this lift the handle as high as it will go. Then turn the key anti-clock wise to lock the door and clockwise to open it.
The Guest Book
Please leave your comments in the guestbook if you so wish.
The Radio/ Free Wifi
You can listen to many English TV channels, for example BBC 1, (Key in 101) BBC 2 (Key in 102) etc. If you are more interested in Radio, then you have a huge selection of radio channels to listen to including BBC Radio 1, 2, 3 4, Classic FM etc . To listen press the button at the top of the radio firmly. Then enter a code for the station you require – Radio 1 is 0101, Radio 2 is 0102 etc. You can also select a station by pressing the up and down button on the right. The name of the station you are listening to is displayed on the small screen.
You may connect your Laptop/phone etc to our Wifi at no charge.
The Shutters in front of the door
You may close the shutters in front of the door as you wish. To close the shutters bring the 2 shutters together, with the shutter on the left hand side first. Then lift the clasp and place it into its slot. To open the shutters, perform the same operations in reverse.
These notes will be in your room upon your arrival.
